Strictly speaking, Gretchen is a fictional character. But like World Without Oil, the game she was created for, she’s largely true to life. Her observer’s account of the World Without Oil game is an amalgam of the experiences of actual players and observers, distilled to create a “walkthrough” for the WWO game.
